Maker's Mark at All Star Lanes
Dennis Potter, Maker’s Mark bourbon’s assistant master distiller, was in London this week to promote the brand’s Embassy programme.
He met with bartenders from seven UK venues at All Star Lanes’ Bayswater venue to give them a heads-up about the trip to Kentucky they have won under the Embassy programme, and to give them a chance to seal their own bottles of Maker’s Mark with its famous red wax.
The Embassy initiative is part of a ?500,000 investment package at the on-trade, designed to encourage bartenders to increase their knowledge around the spirit and widen their drinks repertoire. Just 50 places are available.
The winning bartenders are from Sketch, Lost Society, Bureau and all three All Star Lanes venues in London, and Audio in Brighton. They are visiting the Maker’s Mark distillery next month as part of their prize.
